1. Keep eating healthy food
There is an old saying that an apple a day keeps doctors away. It is wise that to keep an eye on your 3 meals per day and make sure they are healthy and balanced in proportion (e.g. more fruits and vegetables with less meat). By eating in a healthy way your body will get sufficient nutritious to boost your immune system, which can prevent you from infections as well as illness.
2. Sufficient sleep time
Studies shows that one of the most important factors of keeping your immune system working well is to get enough sleep every night. It is well known and recognized that insufficient sleep hours may cause health problems both physically and mentally, also add the chance of suffering from heart diseases, diabetes and so on. Sometimes you will put on more weight if you are not sleep enough. Recent researches show that missing right sleep time will increase your body’s inflammation and interfere with the immune system’s functions which to keep you healthy. As Dr. Katz from Yale Prevention Research Center saying goes “Sleep is crucial to immune system function, and people underestimate the importance of getting enough sleep.” Normally it is recommended that to sleep for no less than 8 hours but things will be varied due to factors like age, health conditions, etc., you may consult your doctors for more suggestion when it comes to how long you should sleep per day, and set up your own bedtime routines to ensure you get enough sleep time.
3. Go to gym
Researches have proven that doing exercises can help you to strengthen your immune system functions, saying that both indoor and outdoor activities can be helpful. As long as you are doing exercises regularly, it doesn’t matter where you’re doing it, no matter at gym or at home. The thing only matters is how you are doing it, studies found that if you want to make your immune system stronger, moderate and regular exercises will be the best choice, since they may increase the activity of your white blood cell as well as their circulation all over your body. Moreover, you don’t have to exercise for a long time for taking this advantage, half an hour per day should work. Actually, too much exercising time will lead you to another way, there will be negative effects which will decrease immunity if you’re doing a long time workouts.
4. Stresses management
Besides physical factors, psychological reasons such as stresses will also have a effect on your immune system. Too many stresses will lower your body’s abilities to resist infections. Stresses have been shown to lower the total number and effectiveness of natural infection fighting cells. The thing we can do is that do not put too much weight on ourselves, and learn to laugh. Try to spend more time with your family members then have some fun together. Always keep yourself in a good mood if possible.
